Congratulations to Emileigh and Patrick!
These two got married on a rainy yet beautiful Fall day in October. I may be biased, but New York has some of the most beautiful Fall colors. With their wedding nestled in the Finger Lake region of New York, we had that enchanting mix of green, yellow and orange hues, with perfectly matched the colors of their wedding!
With Emileigh’s bridesmaids in a perfect muted champagne color and Patrick’s groomsmen in beige, they popped beautifully against the vibrant hues the scenery offered. Every aspect of their day just went. Between their boho ceremony floral pieces, their neutral tablescapes, and their elegant mirror seating chart, everything helped set the scene in the most perfect way.
I think I might say this a lot…but Emileigh and Patrick’s fall wedding day was truly one of my favorites! The day started gloomy with a chance of rain in the late afternoon. It sprinkled on and off on my drive in from Buffalo to the gorgeous Finger Lakes area! By the time the ceremony came around, it was absolutely down pouring! Luckily, I keep a handfull of clear bubble umbrellas in my car and the venue had a bunch for the guests!
Embracing rain on a wedding day can turn what some might perceive as a major setback into a beautiful and memorable experience for you and your guests. While many couples dream of clear skies and sunshine for their special day, rain can really bring its own charm to your wedding day. I kept telling Emileigh that the clouds will give the most beautiful defused lighting – and I wasn’t kidding! Their ceremony photos will forever be some of the most beautiful and unique ceremony photos I’ve ever taken!
Ultimately, embracing rain on a wedding day is about embracing the unpredictability of life and finding beauty in the unexpected. It’s a reminder that love can weather any storm, and that the most meaningful moments often come when we let go of our expectations and embrace the present moment, rain or shine! So congratulations to the Beachamps and the abundant good luck that they have for the rest of their lives!
Here’s a look at my favorite photos from their day!
